Our Story

Southern Designs Landscapes was founded in 1994 by my father-in-law, Ronald B.   Kopp. He started the company with a genuine love of landscaping and designing   beautiful outdoor spaces. Ronald was extremely detail-oriented and took great pride in   doing things the right way. That passion for quality and attention to detail became the   foundation of the business.

In March of 2000, I, Todd Summers, joined the company to start an irrigation division.   Over the years I have had the opportunity to work closely with Ronald, learning the craft   of landscaping and the importance of serving customers well. As time went on, my role   grew and I became more involved in managing other areas of the company.  
In February of 2020, my wife Amie and I purchased Southern Designs Landscapes, and   we are honored to continue the legacy Ronald built. While ownership has changed, the   values he established—hard work, attention to detail, and treating customers   right—remain at the heart of everything we do.
